| Mineral Species: Bournonite (doubly terminated cyclic twinned
crystals). Location of origin: Yaogangxian Mine, 32 km southeast of Chenzhou, Hunan, China. Description: Doubly terminated tabular silver-metallic bournonite crystal with no attached matrix. The bournonite crystals have short striated prism faces around the perimeter and broad termination faces composed of parallel shallow pyramidal faces. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Bournonite, PbCuSbS3, is an uncommon lead-copper sulfosalt mineral. Weight: 14.0 grams.
