Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81869:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Herkimer Diamond.
Location of origin: Ace of Diamonds Mine, Middleville, Herkimer County, New York.
Description: Lustrous internally flawless transparent Herkimer Diamond crystal, the variety of quartz crystals from the Herkimer region, with impressions where smaller crystals intersected the faces, including a crystallized contact on the bottom. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller collection T3438.
Overall size: 16x15x12 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 16 mm
Price: $38 (plus shipping).
