Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81880:

Mineral Species: Marialite (flawless gem-grade crystal).
Location of origin: Mpwapwa, 130 km WNW of Morogoro, Dodoma Region, Tanzania.
Description: Lustrous transparent yellow gem-grade marialite crystal with no matrix attached. The marialite crystal is stubby prismatic form, with pyramidal termination and striated prism faces. The marialite crystal is nearly flawless internally. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Fluoresces orange under SW UV illumination. Weight: 3.9 grams. Ex. Miller collection T2316; acquired from E. Greene in 2013.
Overall size: 16x13x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 16 mm
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
