Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81935:

Mineral Species: Corundum.
Location of origin: Tharaka, Kenya.
Description: Doubly-terminated corundum crystal without matrix. The crystal is blue-gray with triangular yellow core. Crystal form is hexagonal with parallel stepped faces on the terminations. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T2146.
Overall size: 25x22x16 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 25 mm
Price: $22 (plus shipping).
