Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81950:

Mineral Species: Elbaite var Watermelon Tourmaline.
Location of origin: Pederneira Mine, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Lustrous bi-colored prismatic elbaite tourmaline crystal with striated prism faces and etched basal pinacoid termination. The elbaite tourmaline crystal is mostly transparent bluish-green with pink-red core zone (watermelon tourmaline). All surfaces and edges are clean and undamaged, except for a natural contact from another intersecting crystal (no longer present). Weight: 3.8 grams. Ex. Miller #M724.
Overall size: 21x10x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 21 mm
Price: $65 (plus shipping).
