Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82006:

Mineral Species: Neptunite, Joaquinite-(Ce), Crossite on Natrolite.
Location of origin: Benitoite Gem Mine, New Idria District, San Benito County, California. (Type Locality for Joaquinite-(Ce)) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Lustrous dark red-black prismatic neptunite crystals to 4 mm on white natrolite-coated serpentine with a small 0.7 mm yellow-brown joaquinite-(Ce) crystal and areas of brown crossite. Ex. Miller collection T3256; originally acquired in 2016 from Excalibur Minerals.
Overall size: 24x22x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 4 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
