Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82076:

Mineral Species: Vesuvianite.
Location of origin: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Québec, Canada.
Description: Large cluster of lustrous transparent-to-translucent green vesuvianite crystal with no matrix on the bottom. The vesuvianite crystal has glassy, flat prism faces, though larger crystals are striated, with steep four-sided pyramidal terminations. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Ex. Charles "Chuck" Leavitt (1919-2004) collection M-1720.
Overall size: 6.5x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-25 mm
Price: $850 net (plus shipping).
