Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82110:

Mineral Species: Grossular Garnet with Vesuvianite.
Location of origin: Carrickavrickan skarn, County Donegal, Ireland.
Description: Lustrous translucent brown grossular garnet crystal fully crystallized all around. The grossular garnet is dodecahedral form, with surfaces composed of many small parallel crystal faces that have intergrowths of greenish vesuvianite microcrystals. No damage. Collected by John and Robert Lawson.
Overall size: 24x23x21 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 24 mm
Price: $70 (plus shipping).
