Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82116:

Mineral Species: Descloizite on Smithsonite.
Location of origin: Berg Aukas Mine, 16 km ENE of Grootfontein, Otavi Mountain Land, Namibia.
Description: Lustrous transparent-to-translucent red-brown descloizite crystals to 7 mm on translucent white rhombohedral smithsonite crystals to 2 mm. Note the elongated descloizite crystals scattered throughout. No damage. Ex. Miller collection T620a; ex. Betts #64961; ex. Mort Metersky collection.
Overall size: 30x20x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-7.0 mm
Price: $38 (plus shipping).
