Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82121:

Mineral Species: Xenotime-(Y).
Location of origin: Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil.
Description: Lustrous doubly-terminated translucent brown xenotime-(Y) crystal with no matrix. The xenotime-(Y) crystal is elongated prismatic form with first- and second-order pyramidal faces on the top termination. Has an impression from another crystal on side. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T2686; ex. Betts #63851.
Overall size: 18x4x4 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 18 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
