Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82131:

Mineral Species: Fluor-buergerite Tourmaline (formerly Buergerite).
Location of origin: near Mexquitic, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. (Type Locality for Fluor-buergerite Tourmaline (formerly Buergerite)) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Lustrous brown buergerite tourmaline crystals with no attached matrix. An excellent buergerite tourmaline specimen from the type locality (the miner of this rare tourmaline died without divulging the exact locality and it is lost possibly forever). No damage. Ex. Miller collection T3488; ex. Betts #76358.
Overall size: 11x7x6 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-10 mm
Price: $40 (plus shipping).
