Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82244:

Mineral Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of origin: Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Lustrous transparent orange-tinted pink rubellite tourmaline crystal, the pink gem variety of elbaite tourmaline, with striated prism faces and termination composed of second-order pyramidal faces. Unusual orange tint. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. Weight: 2.6 grams. Ex. Miller collection T2932.
Overall size: 21x9x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 21 mm
Price: $40 (plus shipping).
