Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82260:

Mineral Species: Kyanite (unusual orange color).
Location of origin: Nani, Loliondo, Tanzania.
Description: Two intersecting lustrous transparent brownish-orange kyanite crystals with no matrix attached. Kyanite normally forms blue crystals, so these orange crystals are unusual. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T3286.
Overall size: 32x15x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 23-32 mm
Price: $34 (plus shipping).
