Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82291:

Mineral Species: Calcite (twinned crystals).
Location of origin: Carrière Pont-à-Nôle, Mont-sur-Marchienne, Hainaut, Belgium.
Description: Lustrous transparent golden-yellow calcite crystal that contacted the cavity walls on the bottom and near the termination. There are actually two calcite crystals, twinned on the C-axis {00*1} plane, but the bottom crystal is truncated. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller collection T2570; ex. Betts #63561; ex. Mort Metersky collection.
Overall size: 35x23x20 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 15-24 mm
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
