Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82312:

Mineral Species: Fluorapatite.
Location of origin: Havey Quarry, Poland, Androscoggin County, Maine.
Description: Small cluster of lustrous transparent-to-translucent purple fluorapatite crystals with no matrix attached. The fluorapatite crystals are stubby hexagonal form, with flat basal pinacoid termination faces. Fluoresces pale yellow under LW UV illumination. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Miller collection T966; collected by Jeff Morrison.
Overall size: 14x9x6 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-7 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
