Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82361:

Mineral Species: Grossular Garnet.
Location of origin: Sierra de Cruces, east of Laguna de Jaco, near Hercules, Coahuila, Mexico.
Description: Lustrous translucent beige grossular garnet crystal with no matrix. The grossular garnet is dodecahedral form, and is complete on all faces. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Miller collection T2542.
Overall size: 15x15x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 15 mm
Price: $15 (plus shipping).
