Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82376:

Mineral Species: Aragonite (pseudo-hexagonal twinned crystal).
Location of origin: Barrel Spring Creek, Albany County, Wyoming.
Description: Translucent pale reddish-brown aragonite crystal floater (fully crystallized on all sides with only a small attachment point). The aragonite crystal is pseudo-hexagonal form, the result of cyclic twinning. The brown color is caused by limonite staining. Ex. Miller collection T3750; ex. Betts #77852; originally acquired in August 1994 at the Contin-tail Swap, Buena Vista, Colorado.
Overall size: 23x22x5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 23 mm
Price: $18 (plus shipping).
