Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82382:

Mineral Species: Vesuvianite.
Location of origin: Bellecombe, Châtillon, Valle d'Aosta, Italy.
Description: Lustrous transparent deep-green vesuvianite crystals on a thin plate with no matrix attached. The vesuvianite crystals were labeled as being chromiferous, but I suspect the identification is based solely on the vivid green color. One crystal edge has a small chip, but all crystal faces are clean and undamaged. Ex. Miller collection T606; ex. Betts #64646; ex. Mort Metersky collection.
Overall size: 20x20x9 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-7 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
