Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82406:

Mineral Species: Spinel.
Location of origin: Mogok District, 115 km NNE of Mandalay, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma).
Description: Lustrous transparent-to-translucent pink-red spinel crystal with no matrix attached. The spinel crystal is octahedral form, with naturally rounded edges, and is incomplete on the bottom where it was formerly attached to matrix. Fluoresces red under LW-SW UV illumination. Weight: 3.9 grams. Ex. Miller collection T1242.
Overall size: 18x15x11 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 18 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
