Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82445:

Mineral Species: Barrerite on Quartz.
Location of origin: Rocky Pass Area, Kuiu Island, Alaska.
Description: Bladed translucent white barrerite crystals, a rare zeolite species, to 10 mm over translucent colorless quartz microcrystals. This specimen was found in a tidal-zone cavity exposed at low tide on a remote island accessible only by boat or seaplane. No damage. Ex. Miller collection T1732; ex. Betts #57634.
Overall size: 30x20x15 mm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 10 mm
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
