Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82455:

Mineral Species: Axinite-(Fe).
Location of origin: Bourg d'Oisans, Isere, Dauphiné Region, Rhone-Alpes, France. (Type Locality for Axinite-(Fe)) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Lustrous transparent brown axinite crystals on axinite-rich light-colored matrix. The central axinite crystal is fully exposed front and rear. One termination edge is incomplete where it cleaved, probably because it intersected another axinite. Ex. Miller collection T616; ex. Betts #64137.
Overall size: 32x26x25 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 11-13 mm
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
