Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82479:

Mineral Species: Elbaite Tourmaline (bi-colored).
Location of origin: Anjanabonoina, near Ambohimanambola, Betafo District, Vakinankaratra, Madagascar.
Description: Lustrous transparent bi-colored elbaite tourmaline crystal with no matrix. The elbaite crystal is green in the lower half, and pink in the upper half, with pyramidal termination. Has a contact on the rear termination edge from another tourmaline. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Weight: 2.1 grams. Ex. Miller collection T1218; originally acquired ca. 1985.
Overall size: 14x9x9 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 14 mm
Price: $85 (plus shipping).
