Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82493:

Mineral Species: Epidote.
Location of origin: Calumet Mine, 12 km NNE of Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado.
Description: Single crystal of lustrous green-black epidote with no attached matrix. This epidote crystal is large and distinct - a good thumbnail-sized specimen for this classic locality. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. Ex. Miller collection T3752; ex. Betts #76917; collected ca. 1970.
Overall size: 20x15x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 20 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
