Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82521:

Mineral Species: Calcite.
Location of origin: road construction, Route 360 at Bee Cave Road, Austin, Travis County, Texas.
Description: Transparent colorless calcite crystals with remnants of gray limestone on the bottom. The calcite crystals are short prisms, with three-faced rhombohedral terminations, and fluoresce white under SW UV and pink under LW UV, and phosphoresce in dark. No damage. Ex. Miller collection T3704; ex. Betts #76825; originally acquired in November 1993.
Overall size: 33x23x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-4 mm
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
