Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82528:

Mineral Species: Topaz (gem grade).
Location of origin: Tarryall Mountains, Park County, Colorado.
Description: Lustrous transparent pale-blue topaz crystal with steep {011} termination faces with small {112} faces on the outer corners. The topaz prism faces have complex etched patterns in areas. Much of the topaz crystal is gem-grade faceting rough. Though the crystal faces are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Weight: 13.1 grams. Ex. Miller collection T2566; ex. Betts #60573.
Overall size: 21x18x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 21 mm
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
