Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82567:

Mineral Species: Perovskite on Magnetite.
Location of origin: Perovskite Hill, Magnet Cove, Hot Spring County, Arkansas.
Description: Lustrous black octahedral perovskite crystals to 3.5 mm overgrown on the faces of larger black-metallic magnetite crystals to 10 mm. The perovskite crystals are sharp, the magnetite crystals are crudely crystallized. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Miller collection T442; collected ca. 1976 by Clyde Hardin.
Overall size: 17x12x11 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
