Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82614:

Mineral Species: Calcite var. Cactus Calcite.
Location of origin: Yerington, Lyon County, Nevada.
Description: Classic specimen of transparent pale-yellow Cactus Calcite, the colloquial name for these multi-generation calcite formations, that fluoresce white under SW UV illumination and continue to phosphoresce when illumination is extinguished. Ex. Miller collection T2376; ex. Betts #63109; ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #136.
Overall size: 30x13x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-30 mm
Price: $15 (plus shipping).
