Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82620:

Mineral Species: Calcite var. Manganoan Calcite.
Location of origin: N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
Description: Cluster of intersecting translucent pink calcite crystals that fluoresce orange under LW-SW UV. The calcite crystals are in elongated aggregates of parallel crystals. The pink color is due to manganese impurities, commonly called manganoan calcite. Ex. Miller collection T3082; ex. Betts.
Overall size: 17x17x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-12 mm
Price: $24 (plus shipping).
