Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82638:

Mineral Species: Zincite with Calcite, Willemite.
Location of origin: Sterling Mine, Ogdensburg, Sterling Hill, Sussex County, New Jersey. (Type Locality for Zincite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Small specimen of blood-red zincite in translucent white calcite with minor willemite. Under shortwave ultraviolet illumination the calcite fluoresces orange and the willemite fluoresces green; under longwave only the calcite fluoresces. Ex. Miller collection T290; collected in 2016.
Overall size: 21x17x13 mm.
Price: $20 (plus shipping).
