Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82643:

Mineral Species: Brochantite.
Location of origin: Kabolela Mine, 13 km W of Kambove, Katanga Copperbelt, Lualaba Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Description: Showy specimen of acicular lustrous transparent bluish-green hair-like brochantite crystals lining cavities in gray-brown matrix. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Miller collection T1702; acquired from E. Greene in 2010.
Overall size: 25x18x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-3 mm
Price: $42 (plus shipping).
