Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82648:

Mineral Species: Epidote.
Location of origin: Knappenwand, Untersulzbachtal, near Salzburg, Austria.
Description: Lustrous transparent brownish-green prismatic epidote crystals that are contact-twinned on the {100} plane and the twin planes are easily recognizable on the crystal terminations. Excellent internal transparency for epidote which is normally too dark. Most of the crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few around the periphery are incomplete. Ex. Miller collection T2268; ex. Betts #61320.
Overall size: 24x15x12 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-16 mm
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
