Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82659:

Mineral Species: Malachite on Chrysocolla.
Location of origin: Kolwezi Mining District, 240 km WNW of Lubumbashi, Katanga Copperbelt, Lualaba Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Description: Lustrous transparent green malachite crystals in a shallow cavity in a 1-2 mm thick layer of translucent blue-green chrysocolla. The malachite crystals look beautiful under magnification. Ex. Miller collection T1878; originally acquired in 2013 from E. Greene.
Overall size: 29x23x11 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-2 mm
Price: $16 (plus shipping).
