| Mineral Species: Erythrite on Quartz. Location of origin: Bou Azzer District, Anti-Atlas Mountains, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate, Morocco. (Type Locality for Erythrite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities. Description: Lustrous transparent violet-red erythrite crystals on quartz microcrystals. The erythrite crystals are elongated bladed form, with angled terminations. The erythrite has excellent color and transparency for this rare species. The bottom is sawn flat. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Miller collection T2614. Overall size: 25x16x16 mm. Size of individual crystals: micro to 4 mm Price: $25 (plus shipping). |
