Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82689:

Mineral Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of origin: Kamdesh District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Terminated lustrous transparent rubellite tourmaline crystal, the pink gem variety of elbaite tourmaline, with partial crystals on the rear. The rubellite crystal termination has a faint green color and is composed of small parallel crystal faces. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. Weight: 8.2 grams. Ex. Miller collection T3284; acquired in 2016.
Overall size: 22x18x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 22 mm
Price: $40 (plus shipping).
