Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82738:

Mineral Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of origin: Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego County, California.
Description: Two intersecting lustrous transparent rubellite tourmaline crystals, the pink gem variety of elbaite tourmaline, with shallow pyramidal terminations. The lower two-thirds of the main rubellite crystal is internally flawless. Though the crystal faces are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Ex. Miller collection T484; ex. Betts #26236; acquired in 2011.
Overall size: 28x5x4 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 9-28 mm
Price: $65 (plus shipping).
