Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82763:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Smoky Quartz (Dauphiné twin).
Location of origin: Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Lustrous transparent smoky quartz crystal with distinct twin planes visible on the prism faces indicating twinning following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Miller collection T044; collected ca. 1989.
Overall size: 29x17x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 29 mm
Price: $16 (plus shipping).
