Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 82805:

Mineral Species: Staurolite.
Location of origin: Cook Road locality, Windham, Cumberland County, Maine.
Description: Two brown staurolite crystals embedded in dark biotite-rich schist. The largest staurolite appears to be doubly-terminated, though there are remnants of glue where it was previously mounted to a display base on the bottom termination. Ex. Miller collection; ex. Betts #63110; ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #116.
Overall size: 24x24x23 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 12-23 mm
Price: $30 (plus shipping).
