| Mineral Species: Whiteite-(CaFeMg) with Siderite. Location of origin: Rapid Creek, 70 km northwest of Aklavik, Yukon, Canada. (Type Locality for Whiteite-(CaFeMg)) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities. Description: Lustrous translucent tan-brown whiteite-(CaFeMg) crystals to 5 mm with overgrowth of small brown siderite crystals to 1 mm. These whiteite-(CaFeMg) crystals are large and distinct - difficult to obtain except in old collections. No damage. Ex. Miller collection T1982. Overall size: 15x13x11 mm. Size of individual crystals: 2-5 mm Price: $38 (plus shipping). |
