Minerals Species: Calcite on Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tri-State Mining District, Joplin, Missouri.
Description: Very unusual complex nailhead crystals of golden calcite to 6 cm on brown sphalerite crystal matrix. Scattered 5 mm chalcopyrites on sphalerite. An excellent specimen, very unique.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 14x14x7 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 6 cm.
