Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 356:

Mineral Species: Albite var. Oligoclase.
Location of origin: west shore of Manhattan Island at 102 Street, New York City, New York County, New York.
Description: Translucent bluish-green oligoclase, a middle member of the Albite-Anorthite series, intermixed with smoky quartz. The material is massive and most surfaces are cleavage faces. Personally collected in 1997 from excavated rock used as landfill in Riverside Park.
Overall size: 7.5x5.5x4 cm.
