Description:Large cluster of quartz crystals up to 3.5 cm long with many thin casts after calcite crystals from a little collected, old-time locality. The back side shows the quartz grew over earlier layers of calcite, that have since dissolved away. Ex. William P. Hinkley (author of Maine Mines and Minerals, Volume 2, Eastern Maine)
