Locality:Lime Crest Quarry (Limecrest), Sussex Mills, 4.5 km northwest of Sparta, Sussex County, New Jersey
Description:Purplish-gray spinel crystals to 9 mm in white calcite (Franklin marble) matrix with minor metallic pyrrhotite. The spinel crystals are well exposed. The specimen has NOT been etched in acid.
