Mineral:Quartz pseudomorph after Datolite
Locality:Borosilikatnoye deposit, Dalnegorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Description:Large 6 cm datolite crystal completely replaced by quartz, with late overgrowth of minor datolite crystals to 5 mm on one side. The original datolite crystal shape is distinctly visible. Partial (incomplete) crack on end.
