Locality:Fairfax Quarry, 6.4 km west of Centreville, Fairfax County, Virginia
Description:Cluster of pale-pink tabular apophyllite crystals up to 5 cm on edge. One side of the specimen is partially coated with white clay that can be removed with careful cleaning. Ex. Richard V. Gaines (1917-1999), co-author of Dana's Mineralogy 8th ed.
