|Description:||Single crystal (doubly-terminated) of chrome diopside. The dark color appears to due to a surface coating, perhaps a manganese oxide. The coating has worn away along some edges. Bottom corner is incomplete. Ex. A. Stevenson (1916-2007) collection #66|
