Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Large Herkimer Diamond (quartz crystal) on matrix fragment with areas included with black anthraxolite (hydrocarbon). Like most large crystals, it is internally flawed, though clean on the exterior (except where it was attached to the host rock).
