Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Large smoky Herkimer Diamond variety quartz crystal with minor dolomite on sides. Though heavily flawed internally, the crystal is fully crystallized on all faces with no damage. The smoky color is due to microscopic anthraxolite inclusions.
