Mineral:Spinel var. Pleonaste
Locality:Anteiriky, Madagascar
Description:Rounded octahedral crystals of black iron spinel (variety pleonaste) with no matrix. There appear to be two crystals stacked on each other. The rounded edges are probably due to alluvial transport from deposit. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #166
Overall Size:13x12x10 mm
Crystals:8-10 mm
