Mineral:Calcite over Quartz with Pyrite
Locality:Freiberg, Saxony, Germany
Description:Flat plate of quartz overgrown on both sides with scalenohedral calcite crystals up to 14 mm. Scattered throughout are small .5 mm pyrite crystals. All crystals are complete except a few on the periphery. Old pen-and-ink label glued to the bottom.
