Mineral:Fluorapatite with Cookeite and Bertrandite
Locality:Emmons Quarry, southeastern slope of Uncle Tom Mountain, Greenwood, Oxford County, Maine
Description:Deep purple apatite crystals up to 5 mm on white albite matrix with greenish micro crystals of cookeite and colorless bertrandite crystals up to 3 mm. There are so many crystals, at odd angles, it is very hard to photograph - must be seen in person.
